Along with the regular traditional music sessions on a Wednesday evening, the Bingley Ukulele Club on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursdays, we’re also creating a space where you can expect to find performances by local singer songwriters honing their craft.

You might see new collaborations, people trying out new work, people performing for the first time, album launches, celebrations, and the rest.

There are also one off events like album launches, and gigs by touring musicians.

The Chip ‘n’ Ern is also home to Vinyl Revival - a vinyl records event on the third Sunday of the month.

The venue

Upstairs

The upstairs space at the Chip ‘n’ Ern is a great small venue.

Capacity for fire regulations is 60 people, but it’s more realistically a 30 person event space.

The space is approx 8m x 5m, with tables, seating and a small stage area.

It is an ideal space for acoustic music and it works well as an ‘intimate’ performance space.

As well as the Thursday music the space also hosts ad hoc music events, Vinyl Revival once a month (third Sunday), some meetings, and the Graphite club on alternate Wednesdays.

Its biggest drawback is that it is an upstairs space accessed by stairs, so difficult for people with mobility issues.

The bar is downstairs

There are toilets upstairs.

Street Level Bar

The main part of the pub is the bar which is at street level, so easily accessible.

You can find the Pick Up And Play traditional music sessions here every Wednesday evening from about 8pm.
